Closing Doors

Happy National Poetry Writing Month! Today’s piece is a lune, as per the prompt on the NaPoWriMo website. Instead of following the 5-3-5 syllable structure of a traditional lune, this modified one follows a 5-3-5 wordcount per line.

Hey, explaining what the Hell is going through my head when I write these is kind of fun! Maybe I’ll keep doing that over the course of the month. Anyway, enjoy!

Not every shut door is

A closed heart;

A plane won’t fly unlocked.
